A little bit about us
We are Pilar Olivares and Paola Bos-Olivares, two sisters, born and raised in Peru, stand at the base of SATSPeru. Our journey began in our hometown of Cusco in 2001, where we established our HEADQUARTERS. We specialize in curating personalized travel experiences throughout Peru and Latin America. Our core team operates from our Cusco office, supported by a dedicated team of skilled cooks, guides, drivers, artisans, historians, anthropologist, naturist, porters among others. Additionally, we maintain a European presence with an office in Utrecht, the Netherlands, to efficiently cater to our clients’ needs in Europe.
Our main objective is to provide you a great holiday in Peru and South America tailored to your specific needs with special attention to sustainable tourism.
Our team consists of enthusiastic people with more than 15 year experience in the tourism industry.

As born and raised Peruvians, our love for the land and for travelling is in our heart, under our skin. Since our beginnings, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to offering ethical and authentic journeys that allow you to deeply immerse yourself in the heart and soul of our nation.
We are very committed to the well-being of our beloved country, Peru. We take immense pride in its NATURAL BEAUTY and CULTURAL DIVERSITY, but we also understand the importance of responsible management. It’s our mission
to ensure that Peru’s treasures are treated with CARE and RESPECT. We are equally committed to empowering local communities and ensuring they benefit from and participate in the tourism industry.
Furthermore, we have a special focus on SUPPORTING LOCAL WOMEN’S COMMUNITIES. All our partners, including guides, drivers, lodge owners, and every individual we collaborate with, undergo a rigorous screening process. Many of them have been working with us since our agency’s inception or even before, and our relationships with them are built on trust, shared values, and a deep love for Peru.
Pilar Olivares
General Director
She was born in Cusco, Peru. She has a university degree in Tourism of San Antonio Abad University in Cusco. Since 1996 she started working for Peruvian travel operators. During these years she specialized in jungle tours, treks and expeditions. Next she worked for many years in the USA in tourism after which she founded SATS with her sister. She has traveled extensively throughout North America, Central America, South America and Europe. She speaks 2 languages: Spanish, English. One of her goals is to be able to have a positive impact on local communities in Peru through sustainable tourism.
Paola Bos-Olivares
General Director of OntdekReizen B.V. in the Netherlands
She was born in Cusco, Peru. She studied Computer Engineering at the Arica University in Chile , and accountancy and Tourism in Cusco resulting in a university degree at San Antonio Abad University.She started working in tourism in 1992. Her experiences include among others flight industry, and sales management at various Peruvian travel Operators. She speaks four languages: Spanish, English, Italian and Dutch. She designs the programs in our company tailored to the specific needs of our customers. One of her goals is to make Peru and South America get to be known as one of the most important tourist destinations in the world.
Armin Bos
Computer Designer and photographer
He was born in Munich, Germany, but he has been living all his life in the Netherlands. He has studied Computer Science at the university of Twente resulting in a university degree. His experience in IT covers more than 15 years. As member of the SATS team he is responsible for the IT infrastructure and systems of SATS, including their website. His biggest hobbies are travelling and photography that form a great combination. He has travelled around the world and especially in Peru. His native language is Dutch but he also speaks fluently English and German.

We support and work hand to hand with the Woman 4 a Sustainable World foundation, who works with women of Andean communities and run some projects around Cusco e.g., Huandar project in the local Andean community of Pisaq.
